BIO

Emma Irwin is a multidisciplinary artist working across painting, glass, fiber, and ceramics, best known for bold, abstract geometric compositions in acrylic and oil. She grew up in the Hudson Valley and is now based in Minneapolis.

Irwin's studio practice began with self-taught painting and has expanded steadily outward, driven by a constant desire to keep learning and exploring, and by an interest in pushing her work beyond geometry and abstraction into new visual territory. Her work has been shown across the U.S., and she has since begun a teaching practice locally, leading adult painting classes.
